I put this on today because it's so hot here and I was longing for cooler fall weather; upon listening I was reminded of what an incredibly moving and uplifting song it is!
I was 10 when this song had its run. We had just moved to the coast , I was walking distance from the beach. This song always evokes the snapshot memories of that time – it’s a bit bittersweet, but memorable nonetheless. Life was simpler then – the times were quite different, in retrospect.
Takes me back to the FL Gulf Coast before it was ruined by northern investors and tourists. Silvery moon shining down from above on the sugary white beach, waves softly lapping the shoreline and sea oats whispering in the salty air. It was a special time and a special feeling.
