Don‘t do as instructed here … will only work below 5kn of wind … you need to work with your upwind stern line in combination with the motor power using both as a lever against the wind

Lets see how you can pull a 51FT cruiser with your hands, there are maneuvers called bow spring and stern spring to get you away from the quay.

You should always release the lazy line first and wait for it to sink to avoid the line getting stuck in the propeller or keel, then drop the stern lines (leeward then windward last) while stabilizing the boat using slight forward power (in case of any winds on the bow) . Try dropping the lazy lines last, wait for them to sink in strong winds (while all other lines are released) and you will either kiss the quay or your neighbor docked next to you!

I want to see you pulling the boat out, with the mooring line on the bow, when the wind is blowing with 15 knots or more. :-))
You have to eat a lot of spinach before, Popeye.
Why you don't use your stern-line on starbord and the engine? Forward-gear will do the job for you. 😉 Greetings from germany
