The safest solo sailors tow a long line and have it set to a spring tensioner on the tiller so a hard pull on yhat line turns the boat to spill the wind to allow the captain who is the first mate and entire crew to swim aboard to sip another beer with that crew who saw it all and makes vows to secrecy afterwards.
