1. Again, a great post. Based on this test is there a recommendation to use foam instead of powder or use both?

2. Ideally both, but not everyone has the budget or room for both though. It must be remembered that Foam can't be used on electrical fires, and on boats one of the sources of ignition is the electrical system. So you need to carry an extinguisher that can deal with that type of fire safely.

5. That red helmet does not fit properly… that could lead to unnecessary injury , either way it's a hindrance in such a situation

6. I would rethink having any kind of curtain over the portlight above the galley stove.

   Fireports are not common on older boats. They should be.

8. In reflection, I will not be mounting any fire prevention gear above or near any cooking surface. I feel like if that grease fire was serious, he wouldn't have been able to safely reach for the fire blanket or extinguisher

9. Yeah, i'm sticking with baking soda, doesn't expire, puts out diesel, and its a cleaner so you can get all that grease and soot after it cools.

10. Would ve been nice if it were in English. Or proper English at least, so people could actually understand what's been said.

11. The powder in fire extinguishers compresses over time. So inspect the gauge to see you still have gas, and turn it upside down. You will feel it move.
    The ones in my furniture shop, when they get dusty, we take them down, move them about, clean, and remount.
    Reduces the failure rate enormously.
