I have a 32' Farrier (extended F9A), the largest that can be trailered in Australia without a permit, it's plenty big enough for weeks away, you could live on it if more solar etc and water capacity were added, would be a bit tight for two people after a few weeks of bad weather but one person and a lot of good weather… easy plus it sails at 25 knots with ease if the wind is right (I've seen 30 knots but not advised) it sails in next to no wind and you can beach it, you can use it as a caravan as well: most tri's under 28ft down to the 22ft Tramp which looks similar to yours are fast and make excellent weekender's, you have shelter if needed and every amenity on board you need: I wouldn't attempt to cross an ocean in mine but some have and even with smaller tri's, if I were to circumnavigate the planet I'd buy a big mono (I sail solo) cat's are nice but a good passage maker is stupid expensive for someone like myself plus a good mono is just as quick, think $100k vs $350k Aussie. If you're new to sailing and unsure, buy a 20ft ish trailer monhull, super cheap and you'll likely get your money back in a year or two if the rigging etc is good, that's when you'll be sick of sailing at 5 knots full steam when a little tri will go 15 knots… Even the plastic tri's with pedals and just a main sale are fun.

thank you for the baeutiful video. I started sailing 4-5 years ago and Im thinking about buying a trimaran. I was thinking about a virus magnum 21. Ive found one near me. What would a resonable price for it be? Do you think it is a reasonable choice for a first sailboat? Any bit of advice would be more than welcomed!

I didn't see any night running lights on the boat or a mast light .It should be equipped with same.

Trimarans rule, such a pleasure to sail. I find I have both my hands free much of the time (I steer with my feet in a small one). This video is great except the pollution of course, which becomes even more ironic when trailing a sailboat of all things.
