Why does the video show the control lines being tightened ? Surely they get loosened when rounding the windward mark .

If the wind is medium or strong, i prefer to ease outhaul afer rounding – not before. Also I would ease more vang before rounding (that makes more twist and easy to bear away). After rounding of course we have to fine tune controls. That's my opinion
