  1. here here lets get this coverage on all formats not just for subscription coverage missing out on a huge audience

  2. Lol just say it. Jimmy is a typical Aussie arrogant as all fuck. He's having to eat a whole shop of humble pie now…

  3. I thought at the press conference, Jimmy Spithill was very gracious in defeat, even though the disappointment in his eyes was obvious. At the same time, Grant Dalton's eyes betraying all the emotion of the past 4 years. Both of them, in their own way, revealing how much the America's Cup truly means to them as sailors.

  4. I miss the mono's
sure the boats are fast and exciting, I enjoyed it but its not sailing. A bunch of guys on bikes, a guy with a playstation controller and a guy with a steering wheel with a bunch of buttons on it… And for the most part the ocean was flat, bit of chop here and there but no swell or rolling waves.
I miss the actual sails, guys running around the boat changing sails depending on the conditions. A guy up the mast looking for wind. The real transitions from upwind to downwind, remember Spinnakers? and the actual match racing.

  5. 1.) Enough with the talking points 3 min max but a whole fucking 10 min ? SMH.

2.) The Race was incredible.. NZ thought outside the box and beat the USA at their own game. WEll deserved win Emirates NZ 👍⛵️⛵️⛵️👍

3.) Covereage of this event sucked ass.

4.) Hey Larry Ellison … If you idiots want to get people interested in sailing then you had better get your head out of your ass and stop raping and robbing the public with this exclusive rights bullshit. You're getting more than enough revenue from sponsorship, and all that crap.

The oldest fucking sport in the world and hardly anyone knows about it or what it is.. gee I wonder why 🙄. .. selfish greedy self centered pricks.

  6. Love the All Blacks, but I couldn't give a flying fuck if we won or lost the Americas Cup. Good job, all the same, I guess.

  7. I think in all likelihood foiling will stay, but could it be in the form of foiling mono hulls perhaps?? Hmm…

  8. Spithill, cocky when in combat but magnanimous in defeat. Showed real class in his comments after losing the cup.

  9. out thought out designed out sailed with low budgetnightmare of 2013 buriedgood to see pitbull jimmy gracious in defeat well done sir my hats off to him

  10. Foiling is where it is at for the long term. As an analogy, WRC sucked when group B was stopped, and is only now getting back to what it was- 40 years later. They had let the genie out of the bottle. AC is the same right now, the genie is out. Foiling yachts capture the imagination, they are exciting, things happen quickly, they are a little dangerous… everything that people want in a racing event. Trying to put the genie back in the bottle will kill the event. That said, it can still be made less playstation and more analog though.

  11. I'd like to see a race where pure sailing – without motors and oil being pumped – is the issue, a test of skill and the use of wind and sails. If excitement can only be defined by insane speeds on 'boats' that are hardly boats, then what's the point? Also, the confined course is a drag … why not a long point-to-point run?

  12. Spithill gave me the shits when he constantly refers to sailors as athletes. Steering a boat isn't an athletic pursuit, calling tactics isn't an athletic pursuit, riding a bike is but that has no place in sailing.

  13. ANZACs – It's our great past-time to poke fun and take the piss out of each other…..BUT ALWAYS PITY THE FOOL(S) THAT MAKE US BOTH TURN OUR ATTENTION TO YOU!!
    Great work TEAM!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT WIN AND SCHOOLING THE YACHTING WORLD GAIN!

  14. Love the comment at the very end. I can’t see how you can go back to 80ft mono hulls and make that exciting you just can’t 🤣🤣🤣 guess they figured it out for the FB generation

  15. Like Dennis Connor, Sir Peter Blake, Russell Coutts ,Grant Dalton, Peter Burling and other's I for one love our neighbour Jimmy Spittle
