My boating background is UK canals. It’s a different environment to yours. The use of sticky out screw heads and the prominent strake ends would be asking for trouble. Only countersunk screws would be used and the oversized ends wouldn’t.

You mention the aggressive nature of FG in blunting cutting tools. We had to do a job drilling and tapping a couple of hundred holes in FG. After a couple of dozen the drills were blunt and even the taps were worn to the extent the bolts wouldn’t fit in the holes.

Hi . Do you spray the resin with gelcoat equipment? Do you change the nozzle on the gun or applying resin or gelcoat?
