Not sure why people dislike this boat so much.
Clearly we all know Bavaria is in financial troubles, lets hope they work it out.
As for the boat, Im shopping between a Hanse 675 / Beneteau 62 for a live-aboard home, and have to say, while I hate the kitchen in the middle of the living room (so to speak) the overall layout have created several valuable solutions, for starters they have something to hold on to when heeling in the big saloon and for the chef to lean on. check. moving the kitchen also created more room for the two "guest cabins" etc. check. and gave space for the little zig-zag entrance to the owners bedroom which do give more privacy. check.
Somebody called this an RV. sadly thats probably fairly accurate, for me im looking for a floating home with the ability to circumnavigate, but im not in a rush, so its more a focus on a monohull home than a sports-boat. and while I dig the hanse.. I somehow keep coming back to the Bavaria for a more practical solution.. that said, my heart prefer the Southernly 57rs... but its a little more cramped.. still. thats a pretty boat outside and in. and pretty matters :-)
Oh and for the guy hopping its "cheap" shockingly, if you are in fact looking at boats in this size, the Bavaria 65 is rather inexpensive, you will be hard pressed to find a new boat for less.
That said.. the 5 year old slightly used boats probably is where the real value is in this size, as you get a 5 year old for 2/3 of a new boat (or less)
