Question; why detach the spinnaker pole from both the spinnaker and the mast when doing the jibe? Why not just detach it from one bottom corner and swing it over and re-attach it to the other bottom corner? Very new to this and I couldn't tell why detaching the pole completely from both the mast and the spinnaker is necessary. Thanks!
