5. Nice one, always wanted to catch a boat on the front end of its adventure. Beer drinking, smoking, sailing Canucks; what more could you ask for in a couple checking out of society. Will be sure to buy you a pint along the way somewhere. Dependent on where you're headed in the Caribbean, there is the infamous Sailing Sophisticated Lady (Captain Rick) who did what you are doing about 10 years ago. Go find him or his channel.    You are living Our dream! We are doing the same in 4 years time. Except we do not own a boat, and never sailed! And are over 50. Haha Guessing we will spend a year refitting, and learning to sail in Florida before we take off.

31. This is great ! I am stuck in N. Michigan for a bit. Hopefully buying a 30 ft. sailboat in Florida real soon !!
    I have had second thoughts due to my age and experience. I will be 69 this Dec. and probably 20 lbs. more than I should be. I am fairly athletic so even though friends say NO I say why not. I've sold my house and I'm almost ready to head south. I have done some sailing,however mostly on Lake St. Clair.

    I look fwd to more episodes. Great job guys !!!! Tell me I'm not too old PLEASE !

34. This is so great! We have only sailed around our small lake in Texas, but this is a trip that is on my bucket list!

36. Great video, but a bit whiney, sorry to say. You guys should be thrilled to be on a sailboat, at all, much less sailing away on a wonderful adventure. I am leaving Ontario to sail to South America in December, and yes, I am definitely a bit nervous, but also ecstatic. What an amazing journey! I think it is important to stay positive, especially when you are so blessed! Happy sailing!
