That's just 8 Beaufort, and not a storm. A storm is 10 Beaufort or higher, with waves that would typically be around 12 metres in the North Sea, or even higher.
The Bering yachts are Class B, allowing them to be max. 200 miles offshore, and you would only sail that far if the weather forecast is good. Crossing an ocean is out of the question.
Surely I would feel much safer on a Bering yacht than on any of those fiberglass plastic buckets. I appreciate the build quality and also the range of the vessel.
However: we're still talking about a yacht, meant to gently cruise around the Mediterranean, and not a battle ship, despite its fierce looks.
