How much. $$$$$$$ ?
I always love your videos, what kind of financing can I get on a boat like this one, are banks willing to help?
👍👍👍👍👍
Perfect for me with one crew member!! I'll cook!!
Outremer are so overpriced…
were is the year and price
has cruised at speeds in excess of 25 knots…
Love your boat tours. Great way to experience different models.
drop the rigidity directoWhoops sorry, "Galley." Ok, That reminded me of my father… ok…I'm out… On camera, it matters enough that you would correct her horribly rookie mistake of calling a galley a kitchen, 'Your Damn Partner Brethren?? Refers to a birth as a bedroom or heaven's sake if someone were to call ahead, a bathroom/ wet room. WHO CARES JACK….. I hope you gave her a swift talking too after you got home daddy"O." or demanded a……number one on the honey-do me list.A, job so you might lose that rigid character you introduced today…places and I should know, I was raised by one. Imagine letting something that insignificant actually irritate you enough to blast out the correction before the word kitchen had hit the floor. Sorry…. inability and rigidity should only describe building materials, not your wife… your punishment is to be shot giving a tour of a 'Boat" calling everything that a landlover would, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, a huge friken tree for a mast, (I know, not many of those left.) Hey, all kidding aside, google The Briliant navigator from eastern canada, name s Slocum. His boat has been reproduced so many times yet know one really knew how it was built. Its a great story of his solo journey around the world in his hand made boat. ccchhhheck it out….

I stopped watching that other channel after following them for several years after they went political and watch other channels among yours instead.
the design and construction of boats is really interesting.
Guys I live in Tampa too. I live in town n country . Over by Pelican Island and Dana Shores . Love the Show. To others viewing these videos there is an epidemic of abandoned boats in and around Tampa Bay . Contact local authorities to see if you can claim one .
I noticed that you called this a yacht rather than a performance catamaran. You should change the title to high performance catamaran and show the name so that people can find your review ! This is probably the best catamaran in the entire marketplace with the exception of the rare 48 gunboats or even the Outremer 4X. There is so much more to this boat that meets the eye and for anyone who really wants to know the details of the Outremer should watch this youtube video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4kSNnXiOQ0
Great content! Totally support your plan and it is doable. Keep making progress, adjust as needed. Since you improved by reading that book on Mechanical & Electrical Systems, what if you started to figure out the requirements. without a generator, in order to run the boat's washer/dryer offshore? Or maybe as a future episode?
Big trampolines aren’t there just for “other activities”, but rather so that in large waves, the deck won’t hold a ton of water holding the bows down into the next wave, possibly contributing to pitchpoling.
Do your research before committing to a HUGE project like a boat build. I built a 31' tri (F-9A Farrier design) in the 90's. It's a great design with great plans and great technics refined by Farrier. Still it was way more work than I initially thought it would be (triple the time and double the money). I was very happy to finish it in 2 years because any longer would have become brutal (I also had a 50 hour/week job throughout the project).
There are alot of unfinished boat hulls out there where the builder ran out of money or steam. Often it takes so long that boat technology or materials have improved (especially true for multihulls) or the builder has gotten age, health, marriage or money problems.
Do some serious soul searching before you start. Boat building will test you like few other things in life. And don't expect to end up with the perfect boat because it does not exist. Resale on homebuilt is typically not as good because results vary so widely.
On the other hand, it will be a great source of pride and you would know the boat inside and out. You could also do things that factories cannot. I built with 100% Carbon Fiber skins and raised the deck slightly to accommodate my height.
I really like the Outremer line, especially the most recent decade of boats designed by Barreau/Neumann. But they are very pricey, even if used. The Danson era boats (older pre-2009??) are nice also and much more affordable but they aren't as spacious/livable. With any of these high-performance cruisers (Outremer, Schionning, Chris White, Dazcat, HH), keeping the weight off the boat and especially out of the ends is critical.
Have you ever noticed that the Vagabond crew is regularly low on food supplies? They make a big effort to take as little weight as possible and don't even have a washer. I want to go fast and have a great time sailing a responsive boat but I want my wife to sail with me. If I give up too many creature comforts for speeds sake, it won't be as fun for her so it won't be as fun for me… (Well, maybe it'll still be fun for me!!).
Damn boats are always loaded with compromises…
I'm also following another sailing channel, sorry. They are sailing an Outremer 51 around the world. It is a pretty impressive boat and pretty quick. Not quick like an AC75 with foils, but still quick and very stable. Finance it, travel around the world and then sell it on your return. Then move up to a Gunboat. Hmmm
Just wondering this was 1 year ago have you started building a cat yet?
Vision 444 or outremer 45 !!!!!!!!! Tough one anyone got any views
fabulous Outremer 45. the good size!!!
Any one trying to sail a cat at 20 knots is why they flip and you see so many of them sunk where they belong at the bottom of the sea along with there owners .
Do the rudders kick-up for going dry on the beach. And is the hull bottom reinforced enough to go dry on the sand.
My dream boat. 😍
