Not speaking English, I never watched your videos "An Architect Reviews" thinking that it could not interest me. But in fact, with the help of machine translation, and three years late, I watch this one and: it's EXCELLENT! I hope that CIG will take into account most of your remarks which are more than judicious and in good taste. I long to be able to have the GOLD version of the 890 Jump with the improvements proposed by you! With a little delay: Thank you for your very good job!
I feel like im watching an episode of Motor Week!
im about to cry because i know that i wont ever get this GIANT yacht just because idk how to get much money ingame and dont rlly have someone who could help me
You need to consult with RCE for this video
29:10 I would like to point out, as someone who has spent quite a bit of time in commercial kitchens, that the amount of refrigerator/freezer space shown here is not nearly enough to serve the number of guests this ship can have. You'd want at least both a walk in fridge and freezer that are the size of a garden shed. Maybe more than that if you are serving nothing but 10-course meals.
If I was in this universe I would just chill on a beach planet and raise a family with this ship.
Your clients are lucky to have you.
My biggest gripe: Stairs with no guard rails. You're in space, you might be hit by something, there may be shakes – and there's no guard rails on the stairs.
I'm adding in my head the upcoming release of heightened charges of electricity in the UK and thinking i cannot afford the time needed for this game
If i had the time needed to get this ship then it would be a worthy aim – perhaps i can take one day a week to dedicate to gameplay with my Andromeda
I usually hate the extremely washed out and futuristic aesthetic of ships like this but I couldn’t help but be awestruck, and a great deal of this enjoyment was from your analysis. Subscription earned😊
Actually, those crew are not really paid as well as you imagined, still they paid well, reasonably.
WOW! I've been looking at this and thinking, "What would a military version change or add?" The first thing I thought of was filling the front holes with guns. Turrets?
12:48– I think a living wall would both quiet down the atrium seating and make it more inviting. I'd use white leaning plants like Winter Savory.
23:50– Half-naked. How cute.
A Jump big enough to hold another one? JK, jk. Although I expected it to have a higher guest suite count than it does. Two more.
… I wonder if the aquariums are piped together?
DUDE in germany we all go naked in the sauna. when i was younger i thought that is stupid, now i think people who are not naked in a sauna are wierd.
Star Citizen is the greatest !
How would you refit the 890 to be a more utilitarian ship? I like the lines, but I think there's a lot of potential here for a exploration/workshop here. It just seems painful to see such a good design relegated to useless glitz.
Щет, это ты. Щит это я.
I bet the developers involved in designing these ships mildly dread a bad review from you. Conversely, I bet they get quite the rush when you approve.
These videos are a delight
Hope this thread gets re-ignited based on my question. How does this design work while traveling through space? Are we using artificial gravity which would influence the overall design considering where is the most time going to be spent, in space or on a planet?
Amazing ship.
So many possibilities.
I think you bring up good points but I also have to disagree from a personal view. As somebody who is not an architect, but who looks at details often, I do take notice of the ceilings often and often prefer (from a luxury standpoint) details that draw the eye to the point. Something soft and padded to give a further view into luxury. As for "heavy" I enjoy the aesthetic of a heavy seat as it gives a sense of stability among a ship traveling through untold space at times. The woodwork, even if corporate in nature, feels as if it belongs since corporate often conveys financial stability.
Overall, my main concern isn't the design of the ship, but something you brought up. Lack of access especially the high steps into the rooms. While your points are very
veryvalid, your view is based off of your personal clients in your current era, and not what the future might hold. As an example, the high step into the personal room might be a futuristic choice where only those who are youthful are truly welcome. Those who will spend more in the future to return. The ship is designed around clients who need to feel powerful and still young enough to overcome small challenges such as steps. Still, your take on the ship is very valid, and I simply offer another viewpoint. Great review.Beautiful ship, but you’d totally stub your toes all the time. Lots of weird little mini-step ups everywhere including the bedroom where you’d have your shoes off.
