I would like you to try something ( food grade Diatomaceous Earth ) Looks like flour! And it`s FOOD grade – yes you can eat it!!!! I use this stuff everywhere it KILLS bugs– I don`t know about using it on a boat??? Humidity & moisture could make it hard to clean up after. I used to own a Zoo & fed this to the animals , it kills parasites, worms, going thru the animal & kills flies on the poo !! I put this under my appliances , NO more Roaches ..

Those surgical instruments are properly called Kelly clamps, and may explain why you seemed to have trouble sourcing them.

Its a good to wash the glue off those cans, the roaches love that stuff.
