Never had a problem upwind , just an occy strap (Australia) roof rack strap right across with one loop on the tiller in a constant wind and Bobs your Aunty (better be inclusive)… But down wind I'd have to say yours is the best and simplest… Thanks and all the best…

I never have a sailboat and little confused. Here is my: If the wind getting stronger from the starboard, the boat turns away to the port, and it needs the physical rudder turns to the starboard to steer it straight, therefore the tiller should move to the port side (the rudder and tiller move the opposite) . Do I miss a big here? Thank you to show this simple system.
