First saw the Moody 41' DS at Dusseldorf 2019 methinks, always had a soft spot for them since I started looking for a boat for myself and I came damn close to buying an older Primrose designed marine projects 33' Mk 2 CC, then later a 34' CC. The most striking features of this boat are that it has a definite catamaran feel to the cockpit and saloon but on one hull, and the high bulwarks and solid handrails make for a safe sea boat, it should really be classified as a pilot house yacht and not a DS but I'm not arguing the toss, nice boat, I'd have one in a heartbeat and if money was no object I'd have the bigger sister 52'????

17. Must admit, I'm not too keen on how close your head would be to that canopy. In a good rough sea you could easily knock yourself out.

22. Both helms are exposed to the weather, is there any solution from Moody to introduce bimini cover for the full cockpit area?
    ++ I just can't figure out how an additional bimini and fixed roof top will merge together ?
    if anyone can enlighten me it will be appreciated…

27. Impressive design, but still only two cabins on a 41 footer. Better to get a catamaran like a leopard 38 – cheaper and with all the same benefits, but at least 3 cabins

28. Loved the boat. Could be an unpopular opinion, but I think the only thing missing from this to make it a complete boat, is a steering control at the inside control station. I don't know if it could be fitted by owner requirements.

32. Sailboats never have anywhere comfortable looking to sit.

33. Steps in the cockpit when heeled, seesawing, heavy weather? Points of the top focused squarely on the captain? Sail drive? Huge windage? Lowered cockpit that will fill with water? What could possibly go wrong here? This boat is a cross between a sailing boat and trawler. The two are different for a million reasons. Not sure how this works in the marina, but moving it onto real water should have anyone who knows anything about practical safe yachting scared to death. I appreciate new design ideas, but this design is replete with simply stupid and dangerous ideas.

36. I'm sure others have commented on this and other videos you've posted – I like many dislike base prices quoted in titles – this boat probably costs at least an additional $200K – $250K with options, delivery, fees and taxes.
