Christoper Nolan isn’t just a director, or not even a genre for that matter. It’s a literal asthetic. I can’t say this about any filmmaker, no one like Nolan transports me to another world completely and gives me that high. Only Nolan can take to me the Himalayan mountains where Bruce Wayne will train, the claustrophobic port of Dunkirk where the British are surrounded, the human sub concsious, you fuckin get it. Literal vibe.
