The diesel mechanics are a big part of my reservations…. I’d love to learn to sail an electric motors boat. This video will be my jumping off point to discovering more . Thanks for the info and such a wonderful concept that seems to be reaching its production tipping point, hopefully. Need something a bit smaller though – I’d be single handing so something with all accessibility to sailing rig. More Central cockpit preferred. Ambition is to circumnavigate.

The concept of electric propulsion on sailboats is way overdue and mainly becoming available because the technology of producing and storing power is catching up to demand. Other than that, it looks like a typical production boat concept, where the design right of the bet tells us what you should and shouldn't do with this boat, like – they want you to use an autopilot, as there is no way to install a windvane with a fancy transom like that. The safety concern is that the boat has an unprotected rudder and no option to have any sort of a back up – in a from of a Hydrovane for example. Also, I was hoping to see the shape of the bottom forward of the mast, while you were diving, as to get an idea if this boat would pound upwind in ocean waves, because those flat bottoms sound terrible in those conditions while smashing waves – impossible to convince yourself that the boat will make it through, that's how bad it sounds. I also loved to see how on Uma all dangerous corners are thoughtfully rounded, where on this boat it obviously didn't raise a safety question in anyone's mind. I also have a tiny classic and all in all find Uma to be a much more desirable boat than this kind, although I'm extremely happy for your channel to have a lovely vacation like this one. Also, thank you for sharing an idea on a wooden stove, some space management and more. Lots of love and fair winds!
