  1. This splendid yacht seems to be lacking the 1500 watts of solar panels that Jordan is so passionate about on nearly every sailing vessels he tours.

  2. I love looking at boats I can't buy! It makes me really appreciate what I have! I know that if I break an oar on my boat, I can still make it go with one!

  3. OMG! I was so a super fan of Hylas prior to this stupidity. Yuck, Ick! It looks like a Benateau, which, regardless of how large, is a day sailor for for people who are going to motorsail from marina to marina, not oceanic sailors. I'm only 6 minutes into this presentation but I see flaws galore. First, there is no reason to have dual helm stations on a 60 foot boat. You can see the boat perfectly well from the center. There is no need to complicate maintenance of the electronics, steering, rudder control etc., by adding a second station four feet away. Second, the helmsman is standing on top of the deck, not inside a much safer cockpit. The instrument panels are horizontal, so water from rain and spray will bead comfortably on them and will be subject to glare and other problems. They should be angled steeply toward the helmsperson. Where are the dorades? How are you going to ventilate the interior other than running the generator to power the air conditioner all day and night? Hiding the running rigging under the deck SOUNDS like a good idea, until you have to thread a replacement line at sea in rough conditions. The Biminis on this boat are completely insufficient. The helm stations (but there should only be one) are hugely exposed to the elements from the front, sides and back. In any kind of weather the person responsible for steering the boat is going to be wet and miserable. Short shifts. Hope you have a large crew. I haven't even looked at the interior but I guarantee it is going to look like a cheap Motel 6 room, with blond wood, square corners and construction grade cabinetry. If I had a $100,000,000.00 I would not buy this boat. I would buy a used Hylas 56, which is classy, beautiful, nautical and much better designed.

  4. Might be good for anchoring, but she's barely seaworthy. Nothing to hold onto when sailing and it seems very dangerous to go from the seating area to the helm.

  5. How can an Amel 54 built 20 years ago have both a dishwasher and a washing machine, much more refrigerator space, yet this new 60 footer doesn't?

  6. This boat is awesome… I liked your simple and layman term-talking… Very simple explanation.. Loved this Ep…

  7. No thank you. To me, Hylas has lost it's distinctiveness, and now looks like SO MANY large monohulls. It seems to have poor ventilation, and rather lame views from the saloon. The old Hylas' had classy interiors, this has the IKEA look, just like the 'cookie cutter Euro designs. I guess you two really like the new fangled style, but to me, it looks cheap and cold. Thanks for the enjoyable review, even though this boat does little for me.

  8. A pure harbor boat! Imagine that you have to go below deck to the bow or on deck from the cockpit to the duty station. How is that supposed to work without the possibility of holding on?

At the latest once you have bad weather you do not want an apartment on the water, but a real boat with handrails and a kitchenette in which you can wedge.

Great for the harbor and for a short trip in light breezes, but for real sailing in all conditions completely unsuitable

  9. I love you two. What a great couple to represent these tours/walkthroughs. I hope they keep coming. I know this episode is older, but it’s still one of my favorites.

  10. The only thing that seems to be missing from this boat is the washer/dryer. If you're gonna live on a boat, you need a way to wash and dry your clothes. Otherwise this is an amazing home on the water.

  11. My compliments to the LADY, clean looking and dressed like a LADY. Please mention the power output and running hours of the engine.

  12. Sorry it looks cheap and plastic looking vinal cushions and the bathroom looks like it belongs in a motel 6 or a Chevron it looks cold and uninviting, give me some real wood and brass worked by a real Craftsman it's warm and inviting stuff…..
