CANNES YACHT SHOW ZIUA 5 - NUMARINE XP 37, SOLARIS...MAREA FINALA!

  1. David speaking about Bering Yachts ive been watching the building process of the B145 from Nautistyles channel and would love to see a joint walkthrough of the finished vessel with Victoria and Rico do you think you could do it ?

your content is awesome as per usual, just 1 snag ;( i got dizzy after watching all 5 videos from cannes festival because your camera man didnt stop moving the camera from side to side, zoom in zoom out, lets see if in Monaco yacht show he can be still ;D

    Cheers

  2. As Ali said Numarine is a and will always be a niche player but what a niche player. Who needs a 'top dog' when you have niche players like Numarine

  3. I’m amazed how good the styling and quality of the Numarine appears to be, they Turkish yards now look to be equally on par with the top Italian yards,

  4. Dear David,
Been following the Cannes yacht series and two questions came to mind.
1st, Why does an owner allow his yacht to be a part of a show (of course I'm talking for new builds as they are most probably not for sale) and who covers the relevant costs?
2nd, And this one is specific to yards like the Solaris, why do they have their facilities inland? Is the transport cost and risk worth it?
    Thank you
Ps: As always great job! Oh and do take care of your nose the sun is very strong over there! 😉

  5. I really like Ali's honesty in this, especially when talking about quality. Yes, Turkish shipyards haven't been regarded as the 'best', however, he is honest and upfront, acknowledges it and explains how they are striving to be in that top category in the long term. Makes him a lot more trustworthy as a seller IMO. Another great video – thanks David!

  6. Numarine xp 37 – interior design not bed, lots of expansive finishes and little bit too much shiny stripes, feelings like from 2005 …
Solaris – I don’t see any design inside – just old school finishings and ugly furniture…. for grandpas will be ok …

To be honest – it is my real critical comments, because I really don’t see anything nice there.
    This is my professional opinion.

  7. Whilst I'm really happy for you that the market is good and pickin up. Please spare a thought for the average person who on the whole is not doing well. What is fueling the yacht market is an increasing disparity between the very wealthy and the average person. I'm not having a go I'm not an advocate for radical re distribution however a lot of people buying these yachts contribute less tax than I do as an NHS employee.

  8. Really nice looking yacht and layout, Love the spaces and light but some of the furnishings?? The only piece I liked was on the flybridge mid century looking piece but it was all jumbled together with a bunch of other stuff that looked like it came from a thrift store. Hot tub looked like it came from Home Depot. Funny that I was thinking that while he was saying “we have things to learn”

  9. This might be the only competition to Bering as far as explorers go…..Bering seems to be a more rugged "proper" explorer yacht, whereas Numarine seems to be a bit softer and more luxury oriented. I wouldn't kick either of them out of bed though).
