I think this is a bit high. But, I hope they make enough to buy a new boat soon. Yeah, it might hurt their channel a little, but I think they are entertaining enough to make it work. Besides, I hope they are investing enough that someday they can not worry about whether or not they are making enough on YouTube.

IMHO, your estimation is wrong. I know no sailors with such an income would not sail a 5000USD boat, and would not spend months of blood sweet and tears refitting that same 70s boat. Sailors with that kind of boat have usually an income below 2000USD per month.
