May i suggest a stop to prevent the blade dropping out of the adjustable mount… bad news if it sinks or gets washed away.

I assume this is a starter version because larger more powerful units would also do well up to the 10 hp equivalent.
A water proof connector be built
In so a larger extended range battery can be plugged in … especially useful if the unit is being used as a auxiliary motor on a larger vessel or sailing vessel…where it could take over as an emergency rudder as well and run off the house bank and/ or solar panels.

If fitted to a sailing vessel could it regenerativly charge its self?
