Absolutely fascinating… So many interesting places with amazing people in the Unites States to visit, just added another one to my Someday list… Thanks for sharing your adventures.
The eastern coast is certainly stunning as your excellent drone footages shows. I do pause them and take a good look around, awesome! The diversity of the Canadian and U.S. east coast is uniquely stunning and diverse. From the massive icebergs off Newfoundland & Labrador down south to the stifling tropical heat of Florida to the southern most tip of Texas. I dare say we have the most unique combined coastlines in the world. Then there is the very different but second to none west coast of our great countries that would take another lifetime or more to explore. You both make it look easy, I know it's not. Thank you for all your very hard work by bringing to our attention the beauty, the diverse culture(s) of the eastern coastline, it's majesty and of a proud history of the East Coasters of the U.S.A. Captain Oso, I know some very good lawyers…lol… Have a great week U3!
I am excited about you guys sailing
A wonderful episode and insight into a lovely area and interesting history.
Well done you two plus the little captain.
Interesting!
Awesome Guys. Very Educational for us on the other side of the world. Soo pretty yes , CPT Oso looks happy as Thanks
Really interesting and riveting primer on the Chesapeake Bay!
Have to check out more sometime, road trip!
I have been bored and worked on my oyster shucking skills.
Salem, MA.
Why are you being so luuvy? Perhaps Desiree has been partaking in the oyster ,great episode.
As a member of the CBMM and local sailor thank you for highlighting this wonderful place!
Thanks for connecting us to the past! 😎
Enjoying your travels. You hit a nerve with the autopilot warning point. I was sailing in the Sea of Cortez a couple of years ago and as I came into a small port my AIS triggered a warning on a GPS that I was using for sonar only. At the time I was one manning my boat. The warning completely covered the screen and there was no obvious way to stop it. This unfortunately was one factor that led to damage to my dagger board. The AIS warning was triggered by nearby Mexican Navy boats that were docked. My point is that the equipment manufacturers need to come up with a different way of warning that doesn't completely block the screens.
Its crazy seeing jordan on land. You can tell how tall he is
My money is on pregnancy (why Desiree is so happy). And no I do not have inside information as a Patreon or something, just want to throw my bid into the competition 🙂
I think the wife is in need of some throttling FIY🗡
Wow, what a beautiful place to live. The trees in fall are fantastic. Thanks for this wonderful episode ❤
I have sailed on skipjacks twice in the 80s
Oso really suits his haircut!
Thanks for your video. Very interesting these moments of history, it makes known beautiful places and their naval history. Thanks and have a great week.
Love your Tours and learning right along with you! Captain Osso Looking good with that short hair cut! (did I spell his name right?)
Oh man. I always enjoy yalls videos, but these history tours. Chefs kiss
My home town is Washington NC….lived right on Bridge Street until I graduated from High School
Tapping the Hogshead was fabulous story but science of alcohol preserving a body is sketchy.
Hey, Washington NC. That is my old stomping ground. You sailed by Belhaven, NC and that is where I was raised. I pulled crab pots on the Pamlico River. NICE…
What kind of sailboat is Atticus II? Thanks
That's the funny thing you two and me call the Chesapeake bay a nice day this time of year, but my marina has a few bundled up people walking around in parkas looking at me like I'm crazy in 40 degree weather and a t shirt. They must be from the Caribbean, lol.
I would love to get ahold of one of the oyster buy boats, I would make that a liveaboard in a heartbeat.
Hey guys. I love your videos. If in your way to the Caribbean you decide to stop in Puerto Rico, I would like to meet you guys. Keep sailing!!! Be safe!!!
Very interesting, love that you guys get into the maritime history of various locations. I keep away from the videos that are simply “We are Sailing and We are Drinking” Yeah, I live on my boat so I see enough of that, I like your style. See you on the water…. Maybe. S/V Ploto
Very informative 👍
To cool guys , thanks for the history lesson 😀
Thanks for a very informative video. I love visiting St. Michael’s and the Chesapeake Bay on my way sailing North in the spring and South in the fall. I’m enjoying your cruising. Wow! So much fun. following you.
I purchased a Allied Seawind MK11 based on your experiences on Atticus. I hope you will stop at West Marine Ft Lauderdale where I work. Your travels have gotten me as close as possible to my future adventures
I bought a boat in Florida pretty much complete just waiting for the bottom job to be done I'm all the way in Missouri I tried to start a go fund me to kind of help me get moved and transitions to it stuck driving this semi truck GoFundMe floped I just started that to help me get out there sooner than later your videos keep me going though and watch you guys since the beginning
Thank you for such an interesting and informative video, beautifully shot and edited. And you can’t beat oysters!

Does the stay sail add to your speed with the other two sails up?

This is really not related to your vid, but I feel compelled to comment on life. Life is to short not to chase your dreams. Years ago, many of us did not have an opportunity to chase our dreams. We had to work to pay bills. Yes, you still have to work to pay bills. However, it is in such a different manner. I remember grandma saying, depression, hell, we did not have time to be depressed. Always working. Today it is a different story. Then you have the opposite, Emerson, Thoreau, Burroughs, Muir, Carson. To me, these people, all embraced a dream. Don’t follow the norm. However there was something deeper than that. Because of my situation, I am not afforded the “luxury” that you guys presently experience. I used to be totally outdoors. My first 2 cars were paid with fur money. Hunting and fishing were what I knew. So on and so forth, I now take care of my wife who is dependent on a wheel chair. I am only 60. Many years left to spend in the out of doors. However, now spent indoors, caring for my wife. My words to the both of you. Never take each other or any situation you experience for granted. It can all disappear in the time it takes the fog to clear the valley. Hold on to what each of you have and hold it in a death grip while you can. Time will come for the reaper and you will have no strength or ability to overcome. Hold what you have dear and precious, as no force on this world can replace it. Mercy, grace and peace be unto you two for ever and all time. With my love.
Watched your latest video before this one but from that video I realized how comfortable you have both become and are now quite seasoned and experienced on the water. Submarines, Battleships, Jet Fighters, Tug Boats and of course the dreaded Crab & Lobster pots all over the place. But they seem not to phase you at all! I would be freaking out to say the least. LOL, 😆 🤣.
That was super interesting
Do ya believe in God? Ya might need him one day
Idk if you guys watch other channels but if you like this style there’s a couple that’s built their own wooden boat for cruising called Salt and Tar definitely worth checking out if you like them traditional building…
I saw a shot clip of you guys doing a boat buying seminar. Any chance you could put on a seminar like that for your YouTube fans?
Oh gosh, you are in my backyard. I hope you were made to feel welcome and thank you for highlighting our history. Love you two (+ puppy)
Love you guys.
and really appreciate the history sojourns like this one.
Say hi to the little dude for me. Looks like his belly may need a quick rub.
