Wish I knew more about fishing the Mediterranean, but if you were in the Gulf of Mexico that lure would be effective. Not my personal choice in color, but they can go deep and have lots of action. If your vessel is moving at a pretty good clip I'd switch to a bucktail as they have far less drag. I use that same style lure trolling the Gulf with my kayak, but I use ones that are gold colored or silver with a red head.
