An extra episode this week! I'm impressed your live aboard engineer was able to fix the autopilot.
The "Surrey with the fringe on top" looked quite hard pedal.
I always think of the book by John Steinbeck when I think of Monteray: "Cannery Row".

We used to worry about having the water maker feed directly into the tank.. we never had an issue with years of use. For convenience sake we have 3way valve with a testing line. We run the first few mins into the test line…discard the first bit ..test the TDS at the beginning and the end of the run. Do you have a TDS meter?
