… Oh … there is a beach cat race every year … Around the St of Liberty starting at the Atlantic Highlands … I have done it several time dodging the NYC ferries. They will run anyone over … in 2002 it was funny when the CG and miltary police came out in the inflatables from Staten Island … and started to run around w/ their .50 BMG's … we ignored them … we where racing … HaHa .

… Cape May ??? … I grew up there as both pairs of my grandparents had beach cottages in the area … and actually it is not Cape May Harbor … but historically it is "Cold Spring Harbor" … and you can anchor off the Corinthian YC in Cape May. The Morey Brothers used to sponsor a very large Hobie Cat Regatta and allowed us to launch/land through the surf ( and camp in out trucks/RV's) … Great Times !!!!
