  1. I'm not an experienced sailor, so pardon my ignorance, but I was concerned that when putting the chain plates back on you only put one nut on the bolt, with no additional jam nut. I imagine those bolts are subject to tremendous variations in loads and vibrations, and as such, are at very high risk of loosening up. It looked like in earlier episodes they were originally encased in fiberglass, which would prevent this. But now, with the fiberglass removed, I'm wondering what will prevent them from loosening over time?

  2. Jordan, you are a marvelous mechanic, carpenter, plumber man of many and good skills. I am proud to know you. And you have one hell of a good helper.

  3. Nice decal work! Fun naming ceremony, too, but Poseidon's accounting bureaucracy seems to demand too much champagne as compensation to change a boat name.

Besides: It wasn't to Poseidon the pagan sailors were praying when they tossed Jonah to the stormy Mediterranean over Jonah's trying to avoid a divine appointment – the storm died when Jonah hit the water (Jonah 1:14-16). Even Jesus Christ could command the wind and sea, with mariner eyewitnesses seeing the stormy weather obey Him (Mark 4:35-40; like Psalm 107:23-32). For both boat crews, they were there to live the reality of it. "Windwalker" is named for these and John 3:5-8, etched onto her transom. Better to be in Peter's boat than Odysseus'.

    Blessings,

    S/V Windwalker

  4. OK, now you have caught up to Kika (of Sailing Uma) in the art of cleverly working a sponsor promo into your video. Bravo.. Well Done.

  5. Hawks, will go after little dogs. While camping in Pensacola we saw a hawk pick up a poodle and drop him. it was terrible. I love the name decal, you guys are wonderful!

  6. This episode was hard to watch. I just checked into this channel today after not having watched the show since before February 19th. I check when this episode was posted and it was on the 19th, the day my beloved husband of 10 years was careflighted to Dallas to continue battling his Covid/Pneumonia condition. He unfortunately lost the battle on March 31 of this year.

My husband found the show randomly when looking for things to watch during the onset of the coronavirus pandemic back in 2020 and I remember falling in love with the show and catching up with all the old episodes since we had just tuned in for the first time. My husband and I watched every single episode and he always thought it would be so cool to live on a boat even though we also talked about how very very hard it would be and the life would involve a lot of sacrifice. Yet in so many episodes you as a couple prove time and time again that sacrifice in marriage and sacrifice and work sacrifice in life is worth it.

I felt a bit bittersweet as y'all unveiled the Atticus II logo and thought, "Look Josh! They finally got the name up!"

Praise God for you two. This really ministered to me today and I am sad I cannot watch further episodes with the love of my life anymore. I pray you both continued safety in your journeys ahead and that the wind is always in your sails.

    Gratefully,
    Alison A.

  7. "Organize the quarter berth" – haha, at least 2 hours of sorting, 1/2 hour to get mess again 😉😊 (My experience).

  8. I hate you. You made me actually sit through a sponsor segment……… Cause I had to watch the production.

I'm unreasonably angry and simultaneously impressed. Jerks.

  9. you dont need to rely on Poseidon or the winds, just pray to our creator because everything comes through him…
the name sticker looks fantastic.. well done Jordan..
I love how you explain things too, it helps me learn more about sail boats..
    thanks so much.. ✨
