The Mastic comment made me curious: as Leo no doubt knows, 'mastication' is chewing in English. I bet he's good at it. Wikipedia tells me that Mastic (Greek: Μαστίχα) is a resin obtained from the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus). It is also known as tears of Chios, being traditionally produced on the island Chios.

When chewed, the resin softens and becomes a bright white and opaque gum. The flavor is bitter at first, but after some chewing, it releases a refreshing flavor similar to pine and cedar.

Hi you two ..i cannot remember if i told you but wildings Sailing also have a jack Russel called Yoshi.. they make good boat dogs apart from their tendency to pick fights with anything bigger than themselves

If you find any good anchorages let them know .they have a 1975 vintage GRP catamaran with a ketch rig and want to head to Greece or Turkey to overwinter.... they are on a budget.
