Kai is just fantastic; what a great dog, full of personality! I'm sure I ought to appreciate the sailing, the Greek coast, the sunshine, young people enjoying themselves (yes, I mean you) and the history, whether it is about the Santorini caldera or the temple of Apollo reconstruction etc, but it is Kai that wins my admiration! Jack Russells are a great breed and Kai is a great example of his type!

Must admit the DIY desalination plant is a work of improvisational genius.
Your friend needs to do a specialist parts list..
In the US theres a large number of ex millitary hand pumped ex lifeboat and boats equipment ..they seldom get used so get sold for @300 dollars. And replacement membranes are very cheap as the Navy has thousands of units in stores and uses the same filter for all all its boats.
A guy built his own junk rigged Al hulled yatch and then motorised it with a bus wiper motor..
Got to check your back stories again.. meantime sail on and keep an eye open for protected anchorages...is there any noticeable tidal variation in those parts?
