I would not want to have non stop maintenance issues in a confined space. I have a big home with 4 bathrooms and will grudgingly replace toilet flush parts every few years. If anything major needs work I call someone to take care of it.
When it comes to cruisers, I will happily rent one for 3 weeks and then let the owner repair it.

The one I have now is named "Wild-Thing" to reflect the waters it is designed to thrive in, and the salmon that swim upriver to spawn and die. I'm getting too old for my boat.
"Sunset" was also a favorite, and a 1952 Chris-Craft at that.
Another was one, I named "White-Cap", and I was "Reel-Happy" with that.
"Blew-By-You" was a mono-hull Hobie, and a critical kind of a "Not-Kat".
More like a "TOYOT" with "Turbot". I could flip it over just like my hat.
Boat names can be delicious, and Mermaids always like that : )
"Big-Mac" had a "Little-Mac" and 3 levels. Not mine, but I liked it like that.
