AIS is a necessary safety feature for yachts. If a yacht's AIS fails for technical reasons the ship's Captain should Immediately notify authorities and make repairs. Super-yachts should be required by Law to carry a back-up AIS. If a Super-yacht's AIS is turned off with volition of forethought, the vessel should be immediately arrested, towed to a breaking yard and immediately cut up for scrap. The ship owner should be fined and required to pay for the tow to the breaking yard. The senior crew should have their licenses permanently revoked and be jailed for a minimum of five years with no parole !

Yachts cannot be arrested . why do I keep hearing that these yachts have been arrested. They can be seized, confiscated maybe impounded but not arrested

What kind of half wit has a fleet of yachts? If you have the funds get a bigger better yacht that’s as valuable as all your others combined.
