De la fericirea offshore la iadul offshore - Urgență medicală pe mare | Sălbatic navigație

Acesta a fost unul sumbru. Fara somn, la 50 de mile de orice spital si cu o laceratie foarte profunda la fata. 1. When I did my STCW course the First Aid part included how to put together a serious offshore medical kit, you may well end up days (if not weeks) away from medical facilities. Learn how to stitch someone up, carry antibiotics, burn medication, Etc. The doctors on the course I was on would even help source the medication and supplies. Take this event as a wake-up call, it's rare but bad things can and do happen at sea, I had a crew member have a heart attack and die.

  2. damn dog would have been swimming and then fish food and then fish shzt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after I pulled my no 12 boot out of his azz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I know it sucks but keep things in perspective. If that's the worst cut you ever get offshore you've been blessed.

  4. Wow. Not sure I’d keep Yoshi. Maybe cut off those huge cojones to start. Fishing, troll a 6 inch blue Rápala. They swim no matter your speed.

  5. When I was five, I had a very similar injury, I have 5 stitches but I only have a small scar now. Very brave to do it without any painkillers xxx

  6. Just a great video and lesson on boat life, My best wishes to Nadiana. My heart was breaking for you both, and poor Yoshi…i hope i spelled these correct. Much love. Been watching for quite some time now.

  7. Just revisited this stream to see what's going on. The first thing I get is you're more worried about your dog having a shit than going into an unknown anchorage at night.
Then the bloody dog causes mayhem. You need to sharpen up and look at other two handed sailors who are so much more focussed than you. you have no idea of facial injury than sailing safely.
You do need to discipline yourselves with tasks and sailing. watching two complaining knackered fools is so predictable despite all your non sailing followers saying well done; they are in their gardens. Give the dog away; its incompatible with your dreams.

  8. Oh my god ! I hope you are better now Nadyana and recovering.
Mark will look after you but damned ! This is serious.
Take care and I’ll look forward to your next news !

  9. I believe they call being becalmed "in irons" . Our ancestors had no choice but to wait it out. We're standing on the shoulders of giants.

  10. I've read many good comments below so no need to repeat. An ocean going boat is no place for a dog that bites. I know you love him and he's had a hard time but he needs a stress free home or some serious money spent on his mental health. Seek advice pleeeeeez! PS We love Nadiana so keep her safe bro.

  11. So sorry for nadiana's injury but as Andrew says she's such a beautiful person that it will not change that. But now how does that affect your relationship with yosh as you were such a close threesome and he was one lucky dog to find you bothi? Hope you can still keep going with the channel and that some sleep has helped. All the best

  12. It was an accident. Yoshi got startled as she fell on him. For goodness sake sh*t happens why blame the dog for an instinctual response. I've seen Yoshi go from a hyper nervous wreck to the sweet relaxed boating dog he is now, under the loving care of these two. Nadiyana you'll be fine. It's a shock, yes, but all you can do is keep a good plan and move forward.

  13. Bravo to Nadiana, so strong proud of you.
Mark please if you read my comment, get rid off Yoshi. this dog is a disaster, don't like it from day one…
You can't cross atlantic with it. it's too much trouble.
Those who tell you good words about it are not sailors…

  14. Well. Nadia will still look beautiful so no need to worry too much but if it was my dog would have thrown it overboard. Can’t keep the dog now.

  15. Same thing happened to me years ago. I startled a friend's dog and it got my top lip. Would have been worse if I hadn't been quick. Had stitches in my lip but don't even notice it now. As it had to be reported to the police I had to go to court to defend the dog's action!

  16. I also have a scar on my face (forehead) that I could always see for years as obvious. After having to actually trace it out for my wife when we met I have realized no one else really sees it. Must have been the right 21 stitches.

  17. Wow what a trooper I was so impressed with Nadiana (sp?) to begin with and love her winsome buoyant perspective I was so concerned for her and still feel so bad that she was hurt. Especially how she was hurt. I am praying for you guys (I know this happened months ago) I am sure the scar will not even be noticeable
