Ten days in BB is a looong time. I once stayed at The Tides with my girlfriend. The room was nice, it had a fireplace and a deck but you're right, the restaurant is kinda pricey for very average food. We did have a good meal at Terrapin Creek, a restaurant on the north side of Bodega Bay. Glad you finally got to sail, hope your break down was not too serious.
