While it is gorgeous, how is it the worlds largest (still floating) wooden sailing ship? Hermione is 50% bigger as are HMS Trincomalee and USS Constitution.

I was on the training ship Gunilla and when we where aprotching the port of gothenburg the Gothenburg Ship (ostindiefararen) shot salut to as as we sailed alongside couse our captain was good mates with Torben the captain of gothenborg 🙂

The Göteborg displaces 1250 m^3
and the HMS Victory displaces 3500 m^3 but it's in a museum so I guess it doesn't count as the largest sailing vessel. Seesh.

I believe the largest ever wooden ship was one of the Baozhuans of the Ming Dynasty
