As a retired boat carpenter, my one comment about sound down, although it is extremely effective, it is a real pain to install, as there is the layer of foam then a layer o(thin) lead and then the final layer that people see when they look in the engine space, which is a very heavy layer of aluminum foil!

Just wondering what the hourly cost is for the workmen?
Also putting in all the ballast before the water ballance the forces is a worry. I've seen wooden boats taking in a lot of water in those instances.

I never sail in my life, but I in joy watching sailing channels. I love your boat but how are you going to sail your boat from your cabin with no windows looking up at your sails? How can you see what the winds is doing to your sails? I suggest you add a large window in your Pilate house. So it will be ease to control your sails. Also get electrical mortars for your winch’s. Just my suggestion

A bit of history for you. If you visit places like Swanage and Weymouth, in Dorset, England, you will see genuine cannon, muzzles sunk into the ground, used as markers along docks and streets. When ships took Portland stone, to London, for use in building, captured cannon (from the French etc) were used as ballast for the return journey. The Royal Navy captured thousands of them.
