The Coast Guard told us that they never turn their nav. lights off and the small heat keeps the lights dry this uses very little power.

Had same issue with my SB nav light!… was told our Tri-lights are not "legal/legit/proper" in the US. … my logic is, only a true captain would recognize my nav light set up is wrong and the more lights the better so I run them and my nav lights.
