Sounds like a great trip so far. I didn’t quite understand your explanation for stopping at Point Lookout Marina. Was it that the Potomac is easier to cross at that point rather than at the mouth? Or because you want to stop close to the mouth of the Potomac so you can wait for the right weather/sea state conditions to cross the Potomac. I’m looking for tips as I plan my own sail to Hampton next spring. Thanks!

Hey…If you want some great seafood and a friendly place to stop on your way back up…stop in the short West River and visit The Pirates Cove Marina/Restaurant. Let me know if you decide to stop in…Plenty of slips available for overnight!
