Weather really put a damper on our cruise too from isle of cumbrae to Orkney. Shame you didn't get a chance to visit the caves on island davaar, there are 7 caves one of which has a large mural of the crucification painted I believe in the 1800s. The easiest access is by anchoring close in to the South shore near East end of the island and going ashore by dinghy, land near the eastern most cave. Maybe next time!
