Ahoy! There’s a small device that you can hold against the hull which tells you if there’s any water in the layers, identify the area, cut layers out as deep as necessary and rebuild. Borrow the moisture checking device form a marine surveyor in the yard or get them to come do a survey… I would get them to do a full hull survey then you know where you stand.

Complimenti,credo che sia un grande lavoro, l'unica cosa che non avrei cambiato è il motore, quei motori sono molto robusti, girano lenti e non si usurano, riparali è molto facile, bastava qualche ricambio e tutto sarebbe tornato a posto risparmiando danaro. Lo Yanmar comunque è un buon motore.

Water betwixt the keel and the glass, is not good news.. there will be no bonding whilst it's wet. She has some nice bones this boat.. All the best with her..

You need to blast that hole top layer down to were you were digging with the pocket knife use a sand blaster against that edge you exposed it will eat that layer off just try not to dig into the good bottom layer .wish I was there I'd help you out with it .

You can get cheap sand blaster kits around 350 dollars hear in Oz.

To strip back your hull you can use a sand blaster small one with almond husk not sand plastic beads also will take it off just watch carefully and sand last bits .

Hi, My boat … 50 years …i had to dig out the keel from inside to finally get to the dry hull. Its worth it and will save later pain. Best..
