I’ve made this comment before, but it’s a joy to watch such skilled workers.

I hope the timber hasn’t cost what it would in New Zealand even if it could be procured

  • Michael Van Winkle

Which of these fine craftsmen will be signing on as a permanent crew member? Best wishes toward many more episodes and a long sailing life.

    All the best from Canada

  • Shawn Jackson

I've watched from the beginning and I have been blown away with the level of craftsmanship in this shipyard .

  • Randall Caldwell

You both dream big dreams! That is an amazing perspective to have in your journey through life!😀🇨🇦❤️

If you had known her condition, would you have bought her? probably not. If you then looked at building new, would you have? probably not. Or at least it might have been very different. The interest you have generated for your project is probably based, to a large extent on it being an old, tired, wreck that you are raising from the dead. Probably building new would have generated a lot less interest… buying new or newer with no need for the journey you have taken would not be interesting either.

All that to say… well not "the end justifies the means" but at least the means is the end and there would be no other road to the end you are reaching. Many blessings (or good luck if you prefer).

Good luck! Keep up the good spirit!

I know you once said that the crew said they were carpenters but a wooden boat is a work of art. My God you must be fairly wealthy or these guys are doing you a real favor. Just the various different types of woods are crazy expensive. WOW

  • Kevin Dougherty

Never in America. Those wooden shipwights. We don't have them.. those guys a HEROS. First sail. If them and family aren't on deck. ..but you get it.. Yaba true boat. True craft!

  • Phil Gray

We could never undertake this even with unlimited funds, because we couldn't get a team of craftsmen like that together in our country. What a team, and kudos to you for seeing this through.

  • Justin Gardner

Great video! When I started watch the hull had already been replaced. I had no idea that the boat had that much rot. Y’all have definitely came a long way!

  • Alan Luesby

    Congratulations guys a great effort!!!!!

  • Hans Etter

I was so depressed when I saw the boat for the first time and I knew what little you understood about what was ahead of you. Then you had this amazing team of professionals that was like sent from heaven and they have done a truly amazing job on this boat. I am very happy for you.

  • andy marshall
