Great show, followed for ages. A question. I’ve got a 2 year old foresail that ripped at sacrificial strip. I’ve seen your caterpillar like attachment to halyards, what are their name please, and do they minimise chafe? M&P

Is that intro music from “wish you were here” in the 80’s? Sounds a lot like it.

  • Archibald Tuttle

We towed a boat from the banks of the lefkas channel! His gearbox was damaged and the wind pushed him to the side.

Looking forward to your thoughts on Montenegro. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.

Apart from make-work for a bureaucrat, what could be the usefulness of checking out?

  • Simon Musgrove-Wethey

A pity you didn't have the time to visit Gaios on Paxos island well worth a visit. Interested to watch your video on Montenegro as thinking about sailing around there next year.

Ahhhh….. memories of my first flottila holiday out of Corfu port Gouvia in the early 1980s with seven seas. Lots of problems re Albania but what a blast and would I repeat it YES

  • Jon Ritchings Jr

He has to jump off the starboard side to course correct for his port jump.

The sea looked absolutely fabulous. We had our first sailing holiday in Lefkas thirty odd years ago and loved it; probably still the happiest and best holiday I ever had.

Ahh, the ensign at half mast. 😢 Well done guys. Great interesting video as always , thanks

  • L Weijenborg

Thanks for the video. Did noticed it right away, but it wasn't mentioned in the video. Nor in the comments. And it actually came into view quite prominently; The colours are half-mast. Because of respect for the passing of the Queen?

Hey peeps. I just love your films, I use them to convince my wife that we should rent our house out and go off and travel the Greek islands in our boat. Montenegro looks like the perfect place. I’m curious about when you mother when the wind is pretty much zero or may be your travelling at say 3 knotts. Do you rune the engine so to do 8 knotts or just say 5 knotts to conserve fuel. ? Thanks for sharing, I want to be you.

That looked like a card game I played with my mom when I was a kid. We called it hate and spite. Great fun.

we love the canal part, so lovely to see it again through your eyes. x

Nice video, the usual high quality of content and production, you obviously put a lot of work into them. Very informative and entertaining/relaxing. Steve, I like the use of the portable solar setup, a bit clunky to set up and take down though, Are you concerned the solar panels might get blown overboard in a gust ? do you tie them down ? I wonder if you'll make them a bit more permanent if you aregoing to be in the marinafor a while.

    Hi,a great video,thank you for the trip.Cheers Roly 🇬🇧

Hi, another great video, very interesting. I have a question about chart plotters. I notice that you use a large iPad all the time. I have an old Raymarine C120 & would like to upgrade sometime but the cost seems very high for the type of local boating around the Solent that we do & am wondering if a chart plotter is really necessary. We are in a completely enclosed wheelhouse & am thinking that a decent sized iPad would probably suit us more. I presume that you are completely happy with yours, any pros & cons? Your advice would be most welcome.
All the best to you both, Adrian

Guys, for the clothing I recommend Una Montenegro shop in Tivat. They have a very good selection of Helly Hansen clothing, footwear and accessories. Send our regards to the staff over there. We are back home in Australia after spending 2.5 months in Porto Montenegro. We love it there and I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

  • dave bevan

May I ask how you get around the 90 day rule in Europe ?

  • Fredrik Wallinder

There's another sailing couple in Montenegro probably who runs the "Breeze" youtube channel. They're from Holland.

Sorry, how does the Greek police and customs work. You can do a check out in the country and then walk through town have lunch and still stay at anchor overnight. I do not understand. Should check out not happen at customs police and then to leave immediatly?

  • Neil Hutchings

Thought you were a little unkind to Gyros? Being the Greek alternative to McD’s personally I’d take the gyros every time. Erm which you did?

Well such a pleasant surprise, I have been an avid follower of so many Youtube sailing blogs, for at least three years now. Yours is the first I have watched (just two so far), and now after reading all the comments below. You answer so many of the questions. That is indeed a pleasure because so many of the questions relate to the video just seen, and it completes the storyline. Thankyou for doing this and taking the time, it adds to the pleasure of watching.
