Well if you're a waterman then you would know it's not always calm seas and sunsets. Unless you're in Hawaii. Hurricanes mostly just go around us.
When we go hit by one (in 25 years) it wasn't FEMA or and state agency that helped. It was friends and neighbors to help the most. The gov. sucks. If Katrina didn't teach you anything, you can't learn.

So sorry for your lose. Many people lost their homes. It's a force of nature. When you live in or around water and in an area that gets hurricanes you must expect this to happen. You had days or weeks to move your boat from that area so why didn't you?
