For a 130k I would buy a Hallberg Rassy or buy a 100k boat and do a 30k refit

Consult is not a good idea when you are thinking about something like a boat, Just think, A new buyer might not be able to explain a problem that might need an expert to physically look at right then and there and save you a bunch of headaches, So no, That's a thumbs down on the consult for me, I would feel 100% more confident if you were standing there side by side, You might see something that I didn't notice.

I am currently in the process of putting in a offer on a oceanis 393. Was curious on your thoughts on these? For a single person and potentially two people one day cruising in the Caribbean? Boat is in good condition but I was wondering if you have any thoughts on these?

I was looking at island packet 27s as an option for a smaller boat but on paper the grampian 26 seems to be a superior option..they're cheaper, well built, standing head room and bluewater capable.

Bolted Keels are just too risky…. I would not touch a boat with a bolted keel.. Period
