Is enclosing the hull in a frame covered by plastic vapour barrier an option to reduce the volume to be heated when working in winter?

I have great respect for Johan’s long term vision and commitment to do things mostly by and for himself, in a way he feels comfortable. You can more creative when you’re comfortable. This vision is only possible with Malin’s help and support, so together both are integral to achieving his goal. I totally understand his desire to work from the bottom up. Sealing the floor is vital to this end. As someone one who has created a stable work place and tackled a dusty concrete floor, I know how important it is to control the work environment and improve the stability of the floor. Simply by repeatedly walking across a concrete floor it creates dust on the surface layers, that hopefully is substantially reduced by epoxy coating. It not only looks better and brighter, but also raises available light levels. I imagine Johan will soon be reducing the air gaps in the barn doors to conserve indoor temperature. Well done and best wishes to you all, little Vera included, on the project.
