Valdemar, not Waldemar….in German, “W” is always pronounced as “V.” I’m sure you know this, so the only justification I can think of for making this silly error is that you “dumbed it down” for some reason. Maybe you thought Americans are incapable of understanding this….if so, please don’t do us any favors….many of us understand other languages.

Do they not pronounce the W as V for German names in your country? Also, Hesse is pronounced as hessa.
