I put forward the contention that the greatest comeback is etnz winning the Americas Cup 2017 edition Bermuda, against overwhelming odds following the ignominy and despair of defeat in 2013, being able to continue as an operable sail team by the skin of its teeth due to desperate lack of financial options. Being the lone wolf protagonist upholding the centuries old rules with regard to the deed of gift challenge opposing Oracle sailing and the seven other challenging sail team cronies trying to retcon the rules to advantage themselves, whilst ostracising team NZ for not falling into line. This I reckon makes team NZ story the great sporting comeback. Aroha nui

What I find surprising is these boats don't seem to be much faster than the Hobie Tri-foiler that you can buy used for less than 10 grand.
