Generator usage:
Using the generator for one or even a couple hours a day at anchorage would probably equal what land lubbers use in their vehicles per day and you're not using a vehicle at all. Therefore it averages out. So boat if you want or sit down in your stick, frame and mortar home, either way, enjoy life.

Was so much fun , outrageous at times .
Forgot when I saw a bed being 'tried out ' , no, no touching signs around :-)
@ 40 mins this is quite long , worth every second .
So much food for thought .
Yes , comes down to running costs and your time on board .
$3k /month for a mooring outside your mansion , not for me :-)
Unless we return to the exchange rate of 50 years ago :- )
Apart from the purchase price , all the other costs . Fuel ! Even at 10 galls US /hour .
So all agreed that 8-12 knots is a fair speed ?
Hmm saw something else from Miss Vic :-) respect to Rico on getting things working , the lady is seriously practical .
Buy a boat you can control :-) Whatever age :-)
Do like the idea of a small cat or tri , small sails , and full on solar . 2 electric motors , with a small diesel for back up .
Fabulous cabins , galley etc .
A cupboard is a shelf /hanging space . Solid/veneer wood is nice and expensive .
I would use ply wood , paint /stain /seal where needed . Good for 15 years + .
So life on the ocean waves :-) Less the day to day costs of living on land . Only $250 /month here .
