In my humble opinion and given the current market conditions I would first sell the current boat and opt for a 40ft. cat. Take your time, do not rush in making your selection on just one make.

As an Armchair sailor I would avoid older Lagoons. There are horror stories on social media with the bulkhead issues.

i would stay away from Lagoon for a good few years. you say you dont want to do much work, but you do realize bulkheads are the talk of the day and, to the best of my knowledge, no one really knows the extent of the design fault when it comes to other models, – not only the 450, but all of this is being hushed. Im not saying you cant make money flipping a boat, but THESE particular boats are radioactive in my view. if you are doing bullkhead repairs and a common-sense future owner ( yes i know common sense isnt common) comes along and asks about your experience with structural repairs, what are you telling him? or if you arent doing any repairs because there are none to be, apparently, done, what assurances can you give someone that the boat is solid? a normal survey?! the actual state of he industry both in the brokerage and surveying sides are nothing short of appauling and downright criminal in a lot of cases. best of luck. you already dodge a bullet by not taking on that huge project just before the smaller barge showed up. i hope you can dodge another. all the best.
