I would hope someone made the thru hull part in stainless or brass? The plastic part looks really cheap for a multi year part in contact with salt.

Are you actually going to be doing passages with your seaclocks closed? Seems a major pita to gain a miniscule amount of efficiencey and one you'll never use anyway.

Because the valve goes up and down , does this mean you will open and close more often, or barnacles could crow in the tube ?
Is it to small a diameter for a toilet outlet ?

Since you don't have an outside fitting like the older brass through hull fittings, are you worried if it fails you'll have a hole in your hull?
